 Key Points:

-Sofie was able to live in many different areas of the world. This allowed her to see things from different perspectives. This included being able to rise to a higher level.

-Coming to the United States was another challenge. Coming from Amman, Jordan, she learned after 9/11 that people can become extreme in their viewpoint towards others. She was told to hide the fact that she had a Muslim background.

-Whenever she faced a challenge, she took classes, read book, and found higher-level thinkers and experts to help her overcome each challenge. When her mother passed away, she studied Laughter Yoga and became a certified teacher.

-Sofie also dealt with challenges from her family and culture when it came divorcing her first husband and adopting a more spiritual viewpoint versus a strict religious one. She learned how many people, especially in religion, tend to be fixed in their mindset.

-Her openness to learn and grow happened when she focused on her core value of freedom.

3 Tips:

  1. Patience. This is “important” as when we are more patient, we are able to transcend making irrational decisions. Many religions teach the value of being patient.
  2. Connecting and learning through communicating with the subconscious mind. By using various tools, we can use the power of the subconscious in a more profound way. Sofie recommends using mediation as one of the tools
  3. Laughter. The power of laughter has already been shown to help people become healthier in mind, body and spirit.
